Your Mind?

You say it is your mind

And you believe that is true

Yet your mind works against you

And there’s nothing you can do.

You believe it is your mind

But it’s controlled by those who wish you ill

But I tell you it’s not yours

For you can’t even make it still.

If your mind really worked for you

It wouldn’t be a problem at all

But do you have any inkling

That viruses have been installed?

You’d be much better off

If you had lost your mind

But it’s there right inside of you

And it’s got you in a bind.

Your mind is a program inside you,

A program you didn’t put in place

That uses all your power and resources

And makes you a psychological case.

Have you discovered peace and joy

And can you hold them inside for long?

If that is not quite how it is

It’s because you’ve got it all wrong.

And the reason is just your mind

Which is really no more yours

And so your life is like a prison

Which is shutting all your doors.

Take back control over your mind

And make sure it works for you -

It’s the best thing you can give yourself

And it’s something only you can do.
