Your Greatest Asset

Do you have an asset that’s better than your mind

Or do you know it’s your most precious gift

Do you take good care of it

And ensure it’s not burdened with just trite?

It’s your mind that decides how your life will be

But are you aware of what it’s choosing

Does it work for your well-being

Or has it turned rogue and does another’s bidding?

Can you take your mind to a solitary place

And discuss how it needs to be

Can you watch it do whatever it’s doing

And show it all that it needs to see?

Your mind is more precious than all the world’s gold

But you’ve not assessed its worth

And so it’s been allowed to waste itself

And your life’s become one filled with dearth.

Is that something you wish to change

If you do you can start changing things

And then when your mind becomes a servant to you

You’ll be amazed at the gifts it regularly brings.
