Uncertainty

That life is uncertain Is known to all But it’s a special kind of knowing - The kind that’s in the head alone Like so much we know Yes, life is uncertain But we rarely understood it Though we all knew it And knew it so well But only in our heads Life is uncertain And we experience it sometimes When someone is suddenly gone And we begin to understand As we stand around the burning remains Only to forget that life is uncertain As we return from the cremation ghats And cemeteries and funeral meetings And are soon lost in the humdrum Of all that we do each day robot-like Life is uncertain And who knows who will be plucked away Today, tomorrow or in a week or two But this is something we’re beginning To know as we hear how numbers Are rising near where we live Yes, life is uncertain But that’s not a cause for fear - It’s a reason to celebrate That we live today Surrounded by our loved ones Before the uncertainty of life Is sealed by the certainty of death In a cloak, a coffin or grave Will you not stand away from fear And smile with loving eyes At those who stand beside you? - rajyogi https://rajyogi.wixsite.com/lifecoach
