The Search for Truth

The search for truth must be a secret search

For the world of manipulators can’t stand them long

And will do their best to beat them down

No matter how they are strong.

History has shown how seekers went alone

To do their seeking unseen by those hungry for power

For those that wield or worship them

Lose their strength and begin to cower

When they are in the presence of seekers of truth

Who’ve been beaten yet continued to seek

For there’s little that can stand in their way

Even if they appear penniless and weak.

By all means seek and look for truth

But do it in silence and away from prying eyes

For the manipulators will somehow distract or break

And surround them in a maze of lies.
