The Saraswati’s Flow

Oh what a fool I’ve been all my life,
Unaware of the Saraswati flowing through me;
I searched all around to slake my thirst
But that which was here, I could not see.
Oh what a fool I continued to be
As I continued to remain lost and thirsty
When I could have easily got what I needed
And lived a joyful life, happy and feisty.
The Saraswati flows right through my being
And touches those spots that once felt dry
If only I break the dams I’ve built inside
And let the river flow gently by.
The Saraswati is flanked by Ganga and Jamuna
That sustain most of my corporeal being
But when the waters of Saraswati mix with them
They reveal all that’s worthy of seeing.
The dams within don’t serve me well
For they channel the waters into pools
But when they flow unhindered and free
I learn things never taught in schools.
Now I’ve discovered the Saraswati’s flow
And I let her touch what was untouched before
And so I’ve discovered those subterranean caves
That reveal their secrets more and more.
