The Right Way and Ideals

There is the right way and then there are ideals;

The first opens and keeps opening because that is its nature

While the second is a pretense created by wrong thinking.

The first is humbling and honest and gentle

While the second is dominating, judgemental and suffocating.

Unfortunately, most fall for the second while ignoring the first.

I say, do not fall prey to ideals but let what others may or may not consider ideal grow in you and like a flower, find expression through you...

The right way is always there but we put blocks and barriers on the way because we lack the courage to walk that path. We lack courage because we have little faith in ourselves and less in our maker.

We want more of the physical and material world than the essence that courses through it all but we also realize somewhere deep down that we need to focus on that essence that makes all possible. That is the conundrum, the challenge and the test...

The moment we allow that essence to guide our steps, the right way springs into view...and as we take one step after another along that path the path begins to reveal its beauty, its strength and the its joy...
