Lies lure like truth cannot

For lies have endless possibilities.

Truth is staid, shorn of glamor

While lies glimmer

Like water in the desert...

Have you not seen large lakes

That never did exist

Nor ever will?

As you drive

Deep into a desert

Under the afternoon sun,

They appear...

To give you hope,

To pull you deeper...

Into despair,

Disillusionment

Leaving you thirsty.

Lies appear beautiful...

Enticing

For they were never meant

To slake a thirst.
