The Call

Few that go are called

And fewer that are called go

For it comes from very far away,

Too deep for most to know

It’s not easy to hear the call

For the call comes in silence deep;

The path is neither easy nor hard

But sometimes the incline runs steep

And when the call comes and gets heard

An unseen rope comes into the grip

Which must be held to guide the way

And used through the trip
