The Breath’s Secret

My breath is not in my hands

But I am in the hands of my breath

That chooses to flow through me

And keeps away what’s known as death.

As long as my breath flows in and out

This body will function as a living thing

But once that river changes its flow

Something Inside will take to the wing.

The breath that keeps me alive and well

Keeps you alive and functioning, too

And yet we play a strange little game

That makes me think I am I and you are you.

Once I stop playing that silly game

And let the breath show what is what

An awareness will descend like a ball of light

That will show how you and I are really nought.
