The Bodhi Tree

Like a trunk the spine rises

From its roots in the pelvic zone,

Branches spread out in the brain

And each one has a tree of his own.

When the sap runs up from the roots

And nourishes the trunk and the crown

The leaves that sprout are insights and more

That dissolve the doubts and truth is known.

There is a tree for each his own

Where one can sit and begin to see

That he has his own little place -

To discover the truth, his Bodhi Tree.
