Spirituality - A Simple Explanation

A body, regardless of size and strength needs energy to be able to do things. That means energy moves matter.
Energy can be powerful and it can be used both creatively and destructively. Energy is directed by mind which means mind can move energy.
Mind can also be an agent of creation and destruction. And it can be an agent of joy or pain, peace or disturbance, good or bad and a lot else. But it’s spirit that directs or anchors the mind to be an agent of joy or pain, anger or love, peace or disturbance and so on. That means spirit has power over mind.
The mind is a mixed bag that includes impressions, feelings and thoughts and a lot more. Things picked up by the senses are also regularly feeding things to the mind and the mind picks up and stores that it finds interesting...for whatever reason.
Intellect is the rational part of mind and it’s tasked with understanding and making decisions and choices that are in one’s best interest. The intellect will not make random decisions but deeply considered one’s based on all the information it can access.
When one is able to strengthen his spirit, one is able to access his intellect much more effectively and is able to use it judiciously...wisely! Wisdom is seeing deep into things and making choices that are the best...for self, ‘others’ and for the longest time.
So, matter is moved by energy and energy by mind which is directed by the spirit. When one’s spirit is strong, one’s vision becomes clear and one is able to do those things that one sets as his goal.
It is for this reason that as one walks his path, he needs to look after his body well so that it can generate and conserve energy in the way that fits in with his aims and goals. He works on his mind to ensure that it does not pull him in different directions and manages only to fritter away his energy. And, when his spirit is strong it ensures that one’s mind stops turning against him as is evidently and normally the case.
This is spirit-uality in its simplest sense.
