She Said She Had A Problem

She said, she had a problem

So I asked her if she’d let it go

How can I let it go she said

It’s not in my hands

So I asked her how she could have a problem

If it was not in her hands

Where did she keep it

Safe from the brigand bands

She said she had a problem

And the problem didn’t leave her alone

So I asked if she could

Leave the problem alone

She said, you see, I have a problem

But it’s not in my hands

It’s in my life

I said she had no problem

But the problem somehow had her

All she needed to do

Was let it wilt and wither

For we can have problems only

If we decide to keep them with us,

Water them and sun them

And put them in a vase.

Problems are like flowers

That will slowly wilt and die

If we don’t give them things

That keep them from getting dry.

We never have a problem

But a problem sometimes has us

So before they can catch us

Throw them under a running bus.
