Ramayana - Your Life

There is a Sita inside you, too

And sometimes her attention is drawn

To the evil that comes looking beautiful

Like the one disguised as a golden fawn.

And, there is a Lakshman inside as well

Who sets boundaries for your well-being

But when the mind becomes deluded

It loses its ability for clear-seeing.

There is a Ram inside you, too

Who’s forced out sometimes to please you

And when he’s gone, looking for lies

The evil one does what he wants to do.

Unfortunately, Ravana’s inside you, too

Who traps your Sita while in disguise

With the aim of slaying Ram somehow

But he’s filled with desire, he’s not wise.

And, then when you’ve fallen into his trap

Your savior Ram will try to set you free

Aided by the stamina of great Hanuman

You’ll regain your precious lost liberty.
