Questions and Answers

Who am I

Why am I here

What is the purpose of life

Why must people suffer

Why is life unfair

Why is the maker cruel

Why does evil exist

How can there be evil if there is God

And so on

These are questions that thirsty ones ask

And are sometimes taken to task

For the answers must come at a cost

As the seeker seeks when he is lost

Each one must find his answers his own

For a plant can grow when the seed is sown

If another’s answers are given to one

A seeker’s journey won’t be quite done

When a question arises within with force

It sets the seeker on his course

And answers will begin to jump into sight

As he begins to see the light

And once the answers begin to flow

The seeker will surely begin to know

Who he is and why he is here

And that life is to learn, not to fear

He’ll begin to glimpse the purpose of life

When suffering cuts deep like a knife

He’ll see that things might seem unfair

But it’s not that maker’s cruel or doesn’t care

Even evil will lose its sheen and power

When one has bathed in light’s warm shower

The shadows of deeds that touched him so

Will be seen as mere shadows and he will know.
