Propagation of Truth

You set out one day in search for truth
And you’re closer than you can guess;
Maybe you’ve already glimpsed it, too!
If so, you’re not more - you’re less.
If and when truth becomes known to you
Don’t set out to change the world;
Those who’ve drawn blinds across their windows
Are sleeping still...curled.
Do not feed a morsel of truth
To those who’re not hungry for it;
They’ll turn away from you somehow
And might even vomit.
If you have embraced truth and been embraced by it,
Walk through life like a happy fool
And, if sometimes someone asks you the way
Become a pliant and willing tool.
Truth is never blared our loud
For the world’s still hungry for lies;
But if you leave a clue for those in search
He’ll hear it through the din and loud cries.
