Power of Choices V

A human being comes naturally armed with an immensely powerful thing called MIND. However, if the mind itself becomes a slave to another - ideas, people, beliefs or whatever, it cedes its power.

Instead of being the proverbial jinn in the bottle who when released rushes to obey its masters commands, the mind becomes a crazed aimless wandering thing that neither knows its power nor ability nor its usefulness. It then becomes becomes an insatiable monster looking to satisfy its hunger for pleasure and entertainment. It becomes a puppet in the hands of a shadow.

But we have a choice - whether to free the mind of its slavery or to let it continue being one and in the process destroy its owner, directly or indirectly in a few ways or through a thousand cuts.

Is there anyone who does not desire happiness or joy? It’s the way we are. Every single human being wants to be happy and at peace. Yet, few...very few are! It’s because their own minds have turned against them. And, once that happens, few possess the courage, strength or will to change it. They give in. And they go through life as if life is to blame.

But life is an opportunity. It’s an opportunity for every single human being to become god. So, what is god if he is not all-powerful and creative? With about 50 trillion cells in our bodies, each with a hundred trillion atoms are we not all a universe?

Amazingly, each atom is like the solar system with a nucleus (sun) with numerous electrons (planets) revolving around it. The similarities don’t end here. Even the mass of the nucleus in an atom is similar to the mass of the sun in our solar system.

Yet, many go through life shoulders dropping, expressions morose, defeated, pulverized.

It’s simply because most people go through life, unaware that they have a choice. They have a choice to be god and create a life of joy, abundance and love.

Is it not time to awaken from a nightmare into a dawn where the sun of choice shines bright?
