Patience is that characteristic

That allows a seed to wait,

Unruffled, unshaken until

Life swings open the golden gate.

Patience is that characteristic

That’s confident that time will yield,

That the season of drought will pass

And the skies will flood the field.

Where confidence rests within,

Content in the secret knowledge

That waiting is untouched by sin.
