Old Systems

Whenever an existing system

Is very strongly challenged,

It morphs into a monster

And it becomes crazy, deranged.

But old systems

Need to be challenged at times

For having survived a while

They become ogre-like.

And when they’re really challenged

They let loose a mayhem around

As they cannot withstand

The power of shifting ground.

Old systems must sometimes

Be uprooted with all one’s might

So that the space is cleared

For planting what is right.
