Mother Shakti

Shakti is the creative force

And the energy that keeps things going

And when we become aware of the breath -

That’s where we see it flowing.

Every breath that we inhale-exhale

Powers the body, mind and spirit

With which we experience the world around

And choose what we must do with it.

Ma Lakshmi, Saraswati and Durga

Flow to us, through us and out.

They are each one’s shakti peeth

And there is no place for any doubt.

Ida is Ma lakshmi’s channel

And that is where she can be found;

Pingala is Ma Durga’s domain

And through these both flow around.

Ma Saraswati’s energy is more subtle

And sushumna is the path she takes;

She flows with energy when we are calm

And creative waters fill the lakes.
