Most Silly Men

Most silly men are strange creatures

For their minds are not theirs to own,

Someone makes strange sounds all day

And they rush in as if their brains were blown.

Most silly men can’t think for themselves

And their thoughts are created elsewhere

That decide what they must do with their lives

Or undo others’ without a care.

Most silly men are ruled by greed

And they spend their time fornicating and eating

And at the drop of a hat they’ll divorce their wives

If they can’t be tamed with some beating.

Most silly men want to force their ways on others

And cannot brook another living a better life

So they demean them and their ways

To make an excuse for enslaving his wife.

Most silly men don’t know how pathetic they are

And how they’re a blight on all living things

Because they believe they’ll be rewarded hereafter

And they live in false hope of the joy it brings.
