Listening - To the Heart

Have you listened to your heart, Tried listening to it again and again Without the ego whispering into your ears ‘Hey! Don’t be a goddamn fool’ It’s hard, so very hard When the one that means most to you Cautions you, threatens you, pleads with you... Yes, it’s hard, indeed! And, the poor heart has such a small voice, It can barely be heard even when alone But when the mind and ego gang up And boom into your ears You’re like putty In their moulding hands. And, what exactly are they trying mould, Have you wondered, ever asked? But who would answer even if you asked? The heart? With that barely audible tiny voice? What chance is there you would hear? But, hey! There is one time that the loud booms Of the ego and the mind Become like whimpers... When you’re assailed by doubt and pain And misery... Where you came riding happily on a boat And found there’s no shore, no jetty, no place to get off the rocking boat... That’s especially when you must listen to the heart! And then never stop... - rajyogi https://rajyogi.wixsite.com/lifecoach
