Who says life doesn’t talk in riddles - Riddles are life’s favorite kind of speech It hammers a lesson into you one day And some days later sucks it out like a leech Who says life tries to make life simple for you, Life says the simplest thing in most convoluted ways Have you not noticed how a pretty girl behaves, So warm and giving once and cold for the rest of your days Good old Gandhi shared some interesting things But one section can’t live as Gandhi once did It took a daring Godse to explain what Gandhi had done And he blew off a party’s cover and its lid Life doesn’t honor those who deserve it most But it does honor those who play a different game Look around and you will quickly begin to see How the best were swept away and drowned in wrongful shame Yet life’s riddles must be solved by some Who busy themselves looking for deeper things They’re usually left to live in poverty and worse But few see how they then sprout their wings. The ordinary ones are given most fame For they don’t share their secrets with all And those that try to empower common folks Are destined to live unknown behind some wall. - rajyogi (Rajesh Kanoi)
