Let me make a new start today

As I befriend your soul

And unfriend your ego.

And you may also

Unfriend pieces of my ego

That lie scattered around

Like pieces of shattered glass.

Like shattered pieces of glass,

The jagged edges might hurt you

If you try and pick them up

To remake me

In your vision of me.

Unfriend my ego

And let the pieces wither away,

Dried and turned to dust

Like autumn leaves fallen off the trees

Slowly disappear...

Into nothingness...

Let me unfriend your ego today...
