Impressing SomeOne

The only one I need to impress Is the One watching from inside He’s called by many names and words But I know him as my conscience. He’ll never show how impressed he is Nor will he praise me to the heavens But sometimes he might give the impression That he’s nodded ever so lightly I can barely tell He’s never impressed when I try to impress But sometimes he’s impressed I really tried To do a thing, think a thought Though I might have felt fried. And when he’s impressed my weight disappears And my steps become light as air And then I know, I truly know That the only One is pleased. - rajyogi (Rajesh Kanoi)
