No, I’m not poor nor poorer than you

Don’t judge me by your metrics skewed;

You have no idea what wealth I possess

From a source that’s being renewed.

Don’t be a fool and look down on me

For I shan’t look up to you

Have you forgotten how you made ends meet

When that was what you needed to do

I’ve not gone crazy running after gold

But I’ve found a gold mine that is mine

I can draw from it whatever I need

And you’ll know it when you see its shine.

I may have appeared weak and lacking strength

For I didn’t wish to show what I have found

And a day may come when I’ll be above

And you’ll be down in the dirt aground.
