I’ll Use Me for My Benefit

What you see is not in my control,

What I do usually is

So I’ll not concern myself

With what you choose to see;

What you think is not in my hands,

What I do now usually is

So why must I waste myself on you -

That’s really not my biz.

I’ll use my energy on things I can do

And not on what’s beyond me;

And I’ll use my resources very well

For that’s really the best way to be.

If you need me to see something,

Seeing which will profit me somehow;

By all means, I’ll try to see it

For not seeing others’ things is not my vow.

My senses, mind, body and thoughts

And all those things that work for me,

I shall use them to spur myself on

On the path I’ve set upon, my journey.

I’ll use me for my benefit

And I’ll use my resources well;

I’ll make my self the source of my power

And use it to turn away from my hell.
