There are decisions that the heart can take And those are mysterious in many ways For the heart is an organ that sees far away And compassion too guides its work. Both heart and mind can help us take Decisions that are rewarding in some ways But there’s one more thing that makes us choose And it loves to play its arrogant sport. Ego is not an organ nor does it have one But it can override both the heart and mind For it’s a thing that thinks no end of itself Yet it’s the dumbest thing inside of us.
