Be a Pacifist But With a Loaded Gun

It’s all very well to be a pacifist And it’s great to say no to war But when an aggressor claims What’s yours and wants more and more All you need do is submit to him And give him your children, homes, country and all That is dear to you and other pacifists So that the aggressor may stand tall And the taller he stands and bigger he gets Will raise his hunger and greed as well - Where will he stop and and when Is not something you can ever tell. We’ve heard stories of monsters and ogres And they’re present in the human world, too And we’ve seen how their hunger never satiates And, we’ve heard what men must then do. Never ever feed an aggressor or monsters For then you’ll add to their strength and weaken your own Which will lead to terrible consequences later And you’ll need to answer why those seeds were sown. Do not always get stuck to your ideas of life And let foolish ideals alone guide your hand For then you’ll lose all that you love - Your family, children, head, country and land. If you hold a holy book in one hand, Become a pacifist with a loaded gun So you can go through life with head held high And be at peace when your day is done. - rajyogi
