An Unlikely Gift

Life is so much simpler now Than it has been for many years Yes there is much pain and misery, too And there also many unseen tears Life seems to have folded back And condensed in so many ways Unlike how it seemed to expand earlier And made humanity slave through the days Change is not always easy to accept And adapting to this one seems very hard As people are forced to make do with less For life has played an unusual card Yes, the sky is bluer than has ever been And the gentle chirp of birds is clearer And that rare gift of silence never heard Has crept up close and is so much nearer Life has given much more than it’s taken now Though it’s not a gift that we seemed to seek I know, many will emerge stronger, better Though we’d earlier looked very weak Life is so much simpler now And this simplicity is a wonderful gift And we’re ready to embrace it fully And we’re more than happy for the shift. - rajyogi https://rajyogi.wixsite.com/lifecoach
