A Nobody

I was born a nobody,

A nobody, I will die

Why must I, then, defer

And why must I cry!

Yet, I am a special nobody

For there's no one like me -

But so are all other nobodies

Who're all too real to see.

I'm a nobody who knows my worth

And my worth is worth much gold

But gold itself is mere dirt

Until it's found and it is sold.

I need not bother with my worth

Nor need you bother with yours

For you and I're of equal worth

Once we're healed of self-inflicted sores.
